Rules of use
Terms of Service
These Terms set out the rules for using BringMeHome -- a dog identification service based on QR/NFC tags.
Last updated: June 2026
1. Definitions
Provider -- [CONTROLLER NAME], with its registered office at [ADDRESS], tax ID: [TAX ID].
Service -- the BringMeHome online platform.
User -- a person using the Service and holding an account.
Finder -- a person who scans a tag and views a dog's public profile, without needing an account.
Tag -- a physical QR/NFC pendant linked to a dog's profile.
2. Description of the service
BringMeHome lets you create dog profiles and link them to QR/NFC tags. After scanning a tag, a finder sees the dog's public profile with the contact details shared by the owner.
The tag is not a GPS tracker. The Service does not track the dog's location -- any location can come only from a finder who voluntarily shares it.
3. Account
Most features require an account. The User undertakes to provide accurate data and to protect their login credentials.
The account is free. The User may delete it at any time.
4. User obligations
The User undertakes to use the Service lawfully and not to post unlawful, offensive content or content infringing third-party rights.
The User is responsible for the accuracy and currency of the data in the dog profile and for the visibility settings of that data.
5. Liability
The Provider makes every effort to keep the Service working correctly but does not guarantee that a dog will be found. Effectiveness depends, among others, on the finder's actions and the accuracy of profile data.
The Provider is not responsible for content entered by users or for the actions of finders.
6. Fees
Creating an account and maintaining dog profiles is free. Fees may apply only to the purchase of physical tags, as stated at the time of order.
7. Termination of the service
The User may delete their account and stop using the service at any time.
The Provider may suspend or terminate the service, in particular in case of a breach of these Terms or for important technical or legal reasons, giving the User reasonable prior notice where possible.
8. Complaints
Complaints can be submitted to [CONTACT EMAIL]. We handle complaints within a reasonable time, not exceeding the period required by law.
9. Changes to the Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms for important reasons. We will give notice of changes in advance. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Final provisions
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes are resolved by the competent court.
